A Dog Walked In - debut album release 01/08/11

The Pineapple Chunks are a “Band” made up of “people” who live in Edinburgh, not technically a Scottish band they still eat chips and drink beer at band practice etc so anyway… “A Dog Walked In” is the debut record from these generally out of time out of tune over the hill baggybander lameoids. On the plus side the music is “Interesting” and/or “Different”, as in your pal might be like: “Its defiantly, er, ‘different’, yeah?”.

Songs slide drunkenly between theme pubs, the themes being amongst others: the love a man has, post apocalyptic re-animalisation, dogs “business”, Huey Lewis worship, social networking paranoia, nightmare sequences, legal highs/lows and, the root of it all, “playing computer games in the 80’s instead of hanging out with my friends”. So, your regular Leith walk pub crawl then. Follow the ups an downs of these post art school “hangers on” in this handy musical montage.

Recored in Leith and darkest Perthshire over the year 2010AD, mainly by the kitten farther Pete Harvey (Musician and producer of The Leg amongst others), “A Dog Walked In” is so called because half way through the recording of the song “Art Storage” a dog just walked into the studio. No one knows where it came from or where it went, but its silent organic presence is now forever documented in the zeros and ones of this record.

“Is it dog shit? Is it dog shit? Yes! Its dog shit! Yes! Its dog shit! Oh yeah!”

Absolutely brilliant…thank god for the pineapple chunks
